The smokeless coal filter cylinder is arranged with filter materials of different particle sizes, compacted and arranged from bottom to top according to size. When the water flows through the filter layer from top to bottom, the suspended substances in the water flow into the tiny pores formed by the upper filter material, and are intercepted by the surface of the filter material due to adsorption and mechanical flow resistance. At the same time, these intercepted suspended solids undergo "overlapping" and "bridging" effects, forming a thin film on the surface of the filter layer and continuing the filtration process. This is the so-called membrane filtration effect on the surface of the filter material. This membrane filtration effect not only exists on the surface, but also produces this interception effect when water flows into the middle filter layer. Unlike the membrane filtration effect on the surface, this intermediate interception effect is called permeation filtration.

It has a good appearance luster, is in the form of polygonal particles, and has strong compressive and wear-resistant properties. 4、 Precautions for selecting filter material for anthracite filter
The effectiveness of anthracite filter material in the filtration process directly affects the quality of the filtered water. Therefore, the selection of this filter material must meet the following requirements:
1. High mechanical strength, the sum of crushing rate and wear rate should not exceed 3% (by weight).
2. Stable chemical properties, free from toxic substances. It does not dissolve in general acidic, neutral, or alkaline water. Good purification effects can be achieved in various water sources.
4. Reasonable particle size distribution and good specific surface area. The product has a spherical and angular appearance with good glossiness. After three rounds of mechanical vibration screening, the grading meets the relevant technical indicators.
5. The particle size range shall not exceed 3% by weight for particles smaller than the specified lower limit, and 2% by weight for particles larger than the specified upper limit.
6. Anthracite has a high carbon content and strong adsorption and retention ability, so choose anthracite with high carbon content.
